What better way to celebrate being in Florida than staying at the Floridian! It's like a cream and white palace with a fancy piano player, incredible chandeliers, amazingly high ceilings, and sometimes a gingerbread house you could actually sleep in!
Sleeping in a palace... I could dig it!
The room options for this resort are seemingly endless. From Standard rooms to a two bedroom suite with club level access. You also can choose from three different views. If you're ever lucky enough for a club level room, you'll have access to all the same amenities as the standard rooms plus nightly turndown, newspapers, health club access, secured access to the club level lounge, a dvd player, and access to Disney's signature services.
Grab the grub.
The Grand Floridian is home to a hugely popular character dining experience for breakfast, brunch, and dinner. You can meet characters such as Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, characters from Wonderland, and characters from Cinderella. I've personally been to the breakfast and dinner and both times it was absolutely fantastic! I would go to 1900 Park Fare every time if I could. The resort is also home to Victoria and Albert's, a ten course dinner with a dress code. You also have access to Citricos, a dinner restaurant, Narcoossee's, a brunch and dinner restaurant. Another cool restaurant experience is the Highway in the Sky Dine Around, where you take the monorail to three different resorts and enjoy a culinary experience at each of them, including the Grand Floridian. There are so many other restaurants to mention, check them out on Walt Disney World's website!
Outings fit for royalty.
For the active folk, we have jogging trails, basketball courts, fishing, and the choice of two pools! You can also rent a private cabana at the pools. If your sea legs are calling, try taking a ride on a Pirate Cruise, Specialty Cruise, or rent a motorized boat to take out on the Seven Seas Lagoon for a rental fee. In a cozy mood? Try relaxing with some campfire activities or catching a movie under the stars! More of an indoor person? There are a few shops and an arcade to have a comfortable experience inside! You can also take the monorail to get to Magic Kingdom! AAAANNNNNNDDDDD! You can see the Electrical Water Pageant from the resort as a nighttime spectacular!
